Butterfly Beach is the best beach on the island. Isolated, peaceful and almost totally detached from the mainland. We hired a local boatman from Palolem Beach or Columb Bay to take you there. We were told you can spot dolphins in the water there but sadly we didnt see any.

After hearing some ghastly tales about cinemas in India we were extremely apprehensive as we approached the Inox in Panjim. It was such a surprise to watch a Bollywood film here, much like being at a cinema at home.

If you are on holiday in Goa and go to Anjuna, you simply cannot miss the flea market. It has the best stalls selling clothing, jewellery, wooden artefacts, textiles including beautiful saris. Bring an empty bag to fill with beautiful gifts.

This part of Goa once had the power and status of Lisbon. Now all that remains are a number of beautiful churches and cathedrals, an official UNESCO site. The atmopshere is quite electric.
