I spent a couple of days travelling in Old Goa, checking out all the old buildings, the cathedral, the arch etc. The strangest and most lovely place I saw was the Church of St Cajetan, modelled partly on St. Peters in Rome and therefore also on St. Paul's in London which I can see from my house!! Surreal but awesome, the church is a delight.

Really interesting place where they had one of the earliest printing presses in india. The church there of Saint Ignatius Loyola is lovely too, look out especially for the carved and gilded altarpiece as well as the site of the bones and blood of sint ignatius itself.

The Church Of St. Cajetan, is one of the many churches that I visited in Goa. It is said to be architecturally modeled on the original design of the Basilica of St.Peter in Rome. The ambiance of the church makes you feel attracted towards it and the ancient architecture adds a very vital flavor to it. A mixture of beaches and churches comprised of my day, for straight 3 days, and all of these were definitely worth the time spent in Goa.
