Mayem Lake

We spent a lovely couple of days here, very different from the beach but really nice to see some of the lush interior. You have to take a pedalo out on the water it's so much fun!

Mayem Lake

Although we largely went to Goa to party and sunbathe, my mates and I spent one night at the lake in Mayem, where the pace of life was totally different. So relaxed, the lake is stunning and the locals so friendly. We ate delicious food and were a bit sorry to leave i think!

My idea of heaven, my boyfriend and I stayed here and even managed a couple of nights in the beach huts which was amazing. I'm pretty sure I could wake up there every day and never grow bored. Great people and delicious food too.

Dudhsagar Waterfalls

Stunning natural beauty! the waterfalls are about 2000ft high and the view from the top is amazing. the tropical rainforest is wonderful too, although not quite like i imagined from school! definitely worth taking a trip out, i've hear they are best at dawn but that seemed like too much effort on holiday for me.

Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary

We happened upon this gem taking a tour on our scooters. Lovely little place with gorgeous gardens not to mention ELEPHANT RIDES! Also there are lots of birds and seems to be a birdwatcher haven.

It's just off highway 4A although a map is recommended if you're going it solo.
