Wonderful place, a declared site of architectural and historic importance, we loved the local blue stone on the buildings and the amazing Iglesia de San Juan Bautista. If you want to see the real GC then head here!

Gran Canaria isn't really known for its lovely streets but this, the main shopping street in Las Palmas, is so pretty. Be sure to explore some of the side streets to see the area to its full advantage. Shops here are pretty good too!

galdar is in the shadow of a volcano suspiciouly like a miniature mount teide of tenerife, but don't let that put you off! This square is the highlight of the town, with lovely trees including the oldest dragon tree on the island, and some wonderful architecture in the form of iglesia de santiago de los caballeros, and casa consistorial. Loved sitting here and watching to world go by.
