Palmintos

About 10 km from Maspalamas is the sweet little park of Palmintos where there are some lovely cactuses and tropical birds. A good respite from baking in the sun and a good spot to get some shade.

Playa del Ingles

I suppose its an obvious choice, but the Playa del Ingles is a really beautiful and well maintained beach despite the crowds. Some areas are reserved for nudists so work out where you're going in advance!
