Maccau

Maccau is like Hong Kong in that its an oupost of liberalism and capitalism in China, and whilst Hong Kong does business Maccau does gambling! THis bizarre Chinese Las Vegas is definitely worth visiting if you have a couple of days to spare. In fact, even if you only have one night the transport is sufficiently quick to make it worth while.

Happy Valley Racecourse

In Hong Kong on business my colleagues and I headed here to see some of the famed night races. The entry is really cheap and although the computerised betting system can appear complicated it's actually much better than the way theings are in the UK. A top evening out!
