A slightly mad apparition in the Hong Kong streets, but a beautiful cathedral nonetheless. Good, solid and traditional design with some lovely features, perfect for the homesick!

This was the closest I came to feeling like I saw the real culture of HK underneath the glossy high-rise facade. Yes, that does come with lots of shark's fins (ick), but the buildings and the feel of the place are a little different.

It's crazy because when hearing the name it's exactly what you expect it to be, a traditional cathedral with arched windows and stone towers, just it seems crazy when you see it juxtaposed in the high-tech hong kong landscape. Gorgeous place though, really rather special.

I went out to Hong Kong to visit relatives over there and without a doubt this temple was the highlight of the tour (apart from seeing my family, if they are reading this). I love the traditional style it's so beautiful. I could have sat by the 9-dragon wall for hours...
