The Topkapi Palace is absolutely massive and worth setting aside at least half a day for. Its packed full of art and relics from the Ottoman days

Istanbul Modern

Istanbul Modern was opened in a refurbished warehouse in 2004 on the banks of the Sea of Marmara. They blend together the influences of both Turkish and Western modern art. Displays of sculpture, abstract paintings, portraits, and photographs come from both public and private collections. The museum is operated by private funding by he museum is privately funded by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, but does offer free admission on Thursdays.
