Montecasino Bird Gardens

A lovely change to get outside and you get to walk high above the ground with the birds, and there are even antelopes and other things walking around on the ground so it feels like a mini bird safari!

Simply gorgeous. Johannesburg doesn't have tons of greenspace so it was lovely to escape the city for the day and see some of the wonderful SA plants. It's also great for birdwatching. Don't forget a picnic or you'll be out of place!!

The Bird Gardens

I travelled to South Africa with my Grandparents to visit relatives and they took us here knowing that my gran loves birds. the colours are just fabulous on so many of them, although most of them aren't native to SA. The aviary is the highlight, walking round on the raised walkways you are liften into their world and they sure put on a show!
