If you're looking for a relaxing day out then look no further! popular with the locals for canoeing, windsurfing and barbecueing, we took some rugs and some food and enjoyed watching the world go by. there are some lovely walks around and (don't tell the kids!) great cake at the tearooms too.

towards the north of the city, just by the johannesburg botanical gardens. you'll most likely have to drive here.
