Not the fastest or most glamorous of transports but you get a wonderful guided tour of all the sights, and to sit and watch to world go by all at the same time.

Alfa Horse Riding

We took a day trip out on horses with the lovely people at the Alfa riding centre. The ride was suitable for the kids which was great, we got a snack, and to see the stunning countryside. Lovely experience.

Asklepion

Just inland from Kos Town is the gorgeous site of Asklepion, a healing temple dedicated to Asklepius. The temple would have been huge judging from the reamins, and the views here are fabulous. Fantastic trip, only takes half a day definitely worth it when you're on holiday.

About 4km inland from Kos Town, easy by car although I don't know if you can get there another way
