Residencial Sol a Sol

THere's not much to recommend this place, to be honest, It's fairly dank and smelly with a selection of cheaply decorated badly lit rooms. This said, you'll only pay 30 euros for a room which for central Lagos is very reasonable. You can cross the stree to get to the Marina and the Old City walls and tourist office are only a block away. I wouldn't go back for hygeine reasons, though if cheap and cheerful is your thing, I'm sure this will do.

Hotel Aqua Meia Praia

This hotel is about 3km outside Lagos and has about 80 apartments with a living room, kitchen, balcony and bathroom. There is good access to a clean beach with lovely warm sea water and a sweet little swimming pool flanked by palm trees. It's fine if you're just looking for something fairly basic though it must be said that it's distinctly rough around the edges with furniture looking a bit shabby and paint flaking off the walls. On balance, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Lagos Youth Hostel

The Youth Hostel is located in the centre of the Old Town and is on a road with a number of bars which is convenient if you want to go out for the kind of evening that you can't trek far back to bed after! a bed in a dorm is only about twelve euros including breakfast which seemed great value to me though there are also twin rooms available. The staff are really great, they've all been here for quite a long time and are really welcoming.

Aqualuz Apart Hotel

The Aqualuz Apart Hotel seemed to be the best place of its kind in Lagos according to the research that I did before going out there and I would definitely recommend it. It's about ten minutes walk from the beach and city centre and has some basic but spotless Apartments with balconies. There are two swimming pools and a great little bar.
