It might seem like a bit of an effort to get to this beach (and even more to leave it) but it's definitely worth it, stunning beach and the majority of people it seems are daunted by the stairs and go elsewhere so it's normally quiet too, my favourite beach in Lagos.

My partner and I took a day trip to go for a hike around by the dam and the lagoon and we really loved it. Portugal has a stunning interior, and this trip isn't far but so rewarding. There were some serious uphill hikers about but there are softer options too, which we opted for! It's a holiday after all!!

about 15km north of Lagos but you'll most likely need a car since it's a pretty secluded location

A delightful secluded small cove, my boyfriend and I loved it here, just the right vibe for a chilled out holiday away from the stresses and cold weather in the UK. Just make sure you save some energy for the long walk up the steps at the end of the day!
