I think this might just be the most stunning man-made place that i've ever been, I could have stayed all day and kept walking round and discovering more bits. As a slightly odd bonus, you can also learn all about Omar Sharif, who owned the place for less than a day before he lost it in a card game!

Not the largest of places and quite pricey at €6 since you won't be there all that long, but just lovely. This house museum was restored majestically by Cesar Manrique and shows the life and lifestyle of a wealthy merchant in the 1730s as well as the period features in the house. Definitely a must-see if you head to the old capital.

A fantastical wonderland, this place is a real gem.It has architecture fused with nature and amazing artworks by both Manrique and other artists such as Miro and Picasso.

On the outskirts of Tahiche, look for a roundabout with a huge windchime and you'll be in the right place!
