An absolutely wonderful museum that really makes the most of Portugal's ties with Asia. Housed in an absolutely HUGE warehouse there is so much to see both beautiful and a little bit mental!

I'm normally averse to seeing non-cultural sights when I go on holiday, but this was so roundly recommended I had to make an exception, and I'm sure glad I did. What they have done is almost genius, it's fantastic.

This square is a sight to behold! SO much froth, pomp and grandeur culminating in the Arco da Vitoria. Go for breakfast and just sit there taking it all in!

A wonderful authentic district, make sure that you walk DOWN rather than UP the hill though so you can enjoy it without being exhausted. There's loads of backstreet shops and cafes to seek out and a villagey, traditional feel.

As a music lover and avid player I was enthralled by the instruments here. I would have loved it to be a bit more hands on but I guess many of them are too valuable!
