This is such a bargain! Under €2 for a musem housed in a palace!! Plus you get to see prehistoric artefacts, archaeological history and paintings.

Ajuda National Palace

What a stunning and magnificent place. I can't believe it's unfinished though, with all the money it must have taken to decorate it, you'd have thought they would have finished it instead!! Grand place to go though.

Palacio Nacional de Sintra

A soon as you arrive in sintra you can see the huge chimneys inviting you over. The palace is the best kept medieval royal palace in Portugal and is an intiguing mix of styles as residents have updated something-or-other according to the then new methods! I loved looking round it was beautiful.

Sintra, out to the west of lisbon, probaby need to be driving there or taking an organised tour
