The best karaoke in town! It's not like traditional karaoke where you stand on a an stage and everyone laughs at you, it's much more fun. You are in a private booth with your mates, everybody sings at the same time and best of all, you press a little button and someone comes and takes your drink order. Brilliant!

Ignore the bright lights and the fact you might get two forks, Lahore is the business for cheap, great tasting Pakistani food. The service is very laid back (if the place happens to be empty a waiter will just shout out "sit any where you like"), but the waiters will recommend their favourite dishes if you ask. For about £12 ahead, including drinks, you're guaranteed to be stuffed by the end of the meal. Open from midday until midnight, order the Onion Bahjis & Chicken Korahi, you won't be disappointed.

An amazing Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Soho. Possibly the best sushi I've had in London. The prices are reasonable, the service is attentive, the decor is lovely. And for a small venue, it hardly feels cramped, just very intimate, almost as if you're in a friend's dining room. I cannot reccommend the Kyoto Salad enough! Lightly seared fresh tuna with a cracked black pepper and soy marinade, laid around a plate of fresh salad leaves and a house dressing. The flavour is delicate and an absolute treat.

Ok, everyone who lives in London knows about Tate Modern, but it is one of the great modern art museums of the world. With a dazzling permanent collection and regular exhibitions. Check out the Turbine Hall (at entrance), there is always something gigantic and interesting going on. At the moment they have this giant slide.

One of my favourite museums in London. It's stunning to look at, so ornate and so much fun and that's before you've even gone inside. Inside is a treat for the kids (and the grown ups too), dinosaurs come to life, the natural world in all it's glory in one place.
