it is so pleasant to walk across the Waterloo Bridge, have a drink or supper and go to a concert, play or ballet at the National Theater. The venue is superb for all kinds of events. Pricing is very fair, and productions are top line. The gift shops include resources for professionals as well as souvenirs. Backstage tours are available daily. The front halls and foyers include free exhibitions and sight seeing over the Thames.

My mother, being a high school English teacher, instilled in me a great love of English literature, and there is arguably no greater crafter of the English language than William Shakespeare. That is why whenever I get the chance when I visit London I like to see one of his productions staged at the rebuilt Globe Theatre. It is a great experience, and perhaps the purest way to see Shakespeare.
