What a gorgeous place for Parliament to hang out! I have to say i'm not too sure about the modern extension, but I could sit and look at the facade all day. So elegant!

Royal Botanical Gardens

I went to Madrid in the summer and boy does it get hot there! My favourite place to grab some shade in was the botanical gardens, and just to chill out by the duck pond with the locals for a while.

Retiro Park (Parque del Retiro)

This is an experience not to be missed. When visiting a busy city like Madrid, it is always a nice idea to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and make your way to their parks. You will not be disappointed with this one! You can walk to the beautiful lake with row boats, bike or jog, nosh at a cafe, all the while enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the setting. All the locals are there drinking it in. It was one of my favorite places in Madrid.
