This is probably the area more for the young visitor although we couldn't help but enjoy ourselves here. its bustling and touristy but the beaches are beautiful and there's plenty to do in and plenty of watersports to take part in.

Staying at this 5* hotel was like a dream come true! on arrival we received complimentary wine, fruit and flowers in our stunning suite with a view of the beach. Both the staff and food on offer were of a high standard. Plus there was never a shortage of sun loungers by the pool! We also hired a car for a few drives away from the resort to the prettier beaches a short drive away.

Cala D'Or (Golden Cove) is situated on the East Coast of the island. It was once a small fishing village but has now grown and contains eveything the family needs for a relaxing but fun holiday. We were able to dock our yacht in the splendid marina and take a smaller boat along the coast to Cala Mondrago which I would highy recommend.

The Porta de Sollar Bay is a little bay with a charming little beach some nice local restaurants and quaint little shops. There are quite a lot of fishing boats in the harbour usually, though further round the bay, you'll find some empty beaches and clear seas to swim in.
