The least touristy/most authentic area of the town, perfect for eating well at a great price.

This market is not to be missed if you are on a self catering holiday to Malaga. The freshest fish, fruit and bread I have experienced in a long time (puts the Brits to shame!)The market is housed in a 14th century Moorish building with 19th century design throughout.

My partner and I love to wander around local markets when we are abroad and Malago market it perfect to do just that!It is primarily a food market with some of the most enticing fruit and vegetables, not to mention the well know fish and cheese sections.

This annual event is held in August. During the day locals and visitors dress up in local costumes and there are food stalls and lots of music and dancing. They also have themed nights including flamenco and there are firework displays over the city.
