Ooooh shopping heaven! this is an awesome place full of vintage, alternative and quirky designer stuff and i spent soo long there my boyfriend (who i was meant to meet) had practically given me up for lost by the time i finally surfaced, and even then he barely recognised me in my new, bag-laden form!

on the crossroad of church st, tib street and dale street it's pretty easy to get to on the bus from the centre, although the way back with all the bags might prove more difficult!!

If you're looking for somewhere to take the teenagers for a bit of fresh air and adrenaline then look no further! The course is really fun to do and it was great to be doing something we all enjoyed.

On a casual wander in the Northern Quarter, a friend (local) took me to this cafe. I was totally charmed by the decor, the food and all the little touches like the crockery and the till. Really tasty reasonable food in a lovely little (emphasis on little, i wouldn't want to be there at rush hour) place.

Tib street, not really signposted but it is bright pink!

A rich and varied experience throughout i loved this galery. with its red brick exterior and modern interior i loved the contrast of the outside and inside space and the collections were just great, particularly the wallpapers.

Oxford road, a bit of a way out, we drove but since it's near the uni i'd imagine other options are available
