What a stunning spot! Beauty, colour and elegance all combine to make the ideal place for a quiet afternoon and even better you can see the Islamic Art Museum of Marrakech in here too.

We went here thinking we were seeing the original super-opulent palace, but this is just a rebuild. Still, it's quite nice to look around for a bit although calling it "like the Alhambra" is a bit of a stretch.

The throbbing heart of the city isn't always pretty but there's so much to see you can grab a cafe seat and watch the world go by, eat delicious food or just wander about day or night.

Take advantage of these on the weekend, lovely lush gardens with fruit trees and reflecting pools with fish in, perfect for imagining you too are greeting dignitaries.
