Ok, so we're not children, but this was still a great place to go and visit, and much cheaper than a zoo, although they don't really have anything different from the UK it's still lovely to get back to nature. The animals are really well looked after and we even got a go at milking one of the cows which was great fun.

This went down really, really well with the kids on your trip to melbourne last year. there was so much to keep them occupied and we could just chill in the parents lounge with a stubby (!). we lost them for a large part of the day but the photos we got of them doing sumo still make me laugh today.

I love looking out over the place i'm visiting from the highest point and this was one of the most thrilling, with 'the edge', a 3m projection out from the building!! great views, and now my dream wedding reception space too since i saw a wedding taking place up there. well i can dream..

The Queen Victoria Market was founded in 1878 and is housed in a beautiful old structure. You can buy pretty much everything here and it's definitely not just a tourist affair. There are clothes, food and flowers on sale. There are also souveneir stalls and its worth having a go at bartering.

Its hard to believe that Federation Square has only existed for eight years now. It feels like it's been the centre of the city for decades the one give away being its quirky ultra modern architecture. There are cinemas, restaurants, pubs, art galleries and a lot more reasons to pay it a visit. There's also a tourist information point here which is very handy.
