Community Environment Park

Great family fun day out. This old dump is now a thriving eco community and they have loads of things for kids to do as well as some rather tasty food.

The hotel is very big . The facilities are very luxurious. There are 547 rooms. Even business parties can be condecuted. The kitchen is fully equipped . The food is very good. The health club and fitness center is quite good to relax. Even many sports are available to enjoy the evening. The best posh place to enjoy after a day .

Queens Victoria Market

posted by kfulton on 30 April 2009 at 15:33

The Queens Victoria Market is a must do when in Melbourne. It is open from November to February. The market is hugh. Go there with a group of people and snag a table and chairs (you must do this first.) Then always make sure somebody is staying with the table and chairs while your traveling buddies go out on recognizance. The food is some of the best you will find (and some of the worse) but the prices are cheap so a few clinkers is to be expected. Bring back your selections and meet up with your other companions and share your fair, while the people holding the table go out and get more stuff. The live music is sweet on a warm summers night. The produce is fresh and you can get good deals on clothing. Lots of touristy trinket stuff is available if that is what you are looking for.

Queen Victoria Market

The best and freshest produce, preserves, etc. You want it, you'll find it here. Also has clothing, soap, and book stalls and leather goods. The Night Market (open from 5:30pm til 10pm) runs every Wednsday Night during the summer months. If you go to the main food hall, try and grab a wholemeal pizza, topped with fresh ricotta and rocket - made on the premises of course.

The Ice-Cream Shoppe

posted by lilith on 8 January 2007 at 18:02

Boasting a menu of over 100 different types of ice-cream (including a black liqourice flavour), all made of site, The Ice-Cream Shoppe is a must if visiting Melbourne in summer. Do be warned though, since Williamstown Beach is such a popular destination, you can wait up to an hour for ice-cream with crowds of tourists and locals alike filling the spacious store and spilling out onto the street. (The rum 'n' raisin is one of their best flavours, and is made with real rum).
