The Grampians National Park was regretably devastated by forest fires in 2006. However, the work done recently to restore the park to its former glory has really payed off and people are starting to flock back. There are some great tours available to take you trecking around the park. Some highlights of any visit are the incredible 'jaws of death' rock formation and the stunning MacKenzie Falls.

This is a wonderful way to spend a day. If you have a car, drive there, but if not, there are plenty of companies who offer tours there. You can go wine tasting at a lot of the vinyards ad learn about how the individual wines are made. The scenery is stunning and there are some great views to be enjoyed.

We'd had lots of recommendations to drive the great Ocean Road and we certainly weren't dissapointed. We found a shuttle bus company in Melbourne who offered a standard day's drive. The coast itself is breathtaking and the 12 appostles (massive rocks free-standing clear of the coast) were a definite highlight. Bells beach is worth a look as is the Otway national park. If you've got a car, all the better.
