La Trobe Cottage

What a perfectly delightful little cottage, so hard to believe that it was brought all the way from the UK, especially when you think of how long our flights were, and how long a boat must have taken! Charming little place.

Brighton Beach

posted by vmayers on 13 January 2011 at 11:56

I went to Melbourne to visit family over the holidays and I must say I was surprised at the near proximity of the beaches to the city!! Just a short ride away. The cutest one we went to was Brighton Beach, where they have those old-fashioned changing rooms/bathing boxes that the victorians used to use dotted about!
