The best and freshest produce, preserves, etc. You want it, you'll find it here. Also has clothing, soap, and book stalls and leather goods. The Night Market (open from 5:30pm til 10pm) runs every Wednsday Night during the summer months. If you go to the main food hall, try and grab a wholemeal pizza, topped with fresh ricotta and rocket - made on the premises of course.

Highlights of Flinders Lane are many, it's the spirit of Melbourne rolled into one little street. It has a mixture of chic and bohemia rubbing shoulders comfortably with it's many cafes, restaurants, independent designers and galleries. Little things to check out are the Citylights also located in Hosier Lane. Which showcases art to the public 24-hours a day using wall mounted lightboxes. It has become a popular area for graffiti artists who work with stencils (...I wonder if my stencil art is still up there...)

Boasting a menu of over 100 different types of ice-cream (including a black liqourice flavour), all made of site, The Ice-Cream Shoppe is a must if visiting Melbourne in summer. Do be warned though, since Williamstown Beach is such a popular destination, you can wait up to an hour for ice-cream with crowds of tourists and locals alike filling the spacious store and spilling out onto the street. (The rum 'n' raisin is one of their best flavours, and is made with real rum).

Love it, or loathe it, Federation Square has become a part of Melbourne as much as the famous clocks of Flinders Street station has. It has become a meeting place for thousands, a tourist attraction, filled with galleries, restaurants, bars and an area for live events. Definately check out the unique architecture of the magnificant building, which incorperates Melbourne's city-scape of colours, materials and mood.
