La Minerva

I believe that La Minerva is the finest restaurant in Mahon. It is a cosy and traditional restaurant with nautical decor on the port opposite Isla Pinto just east of the ferry terminal. Since i love seafood, La Minerva specialises in fresh seafood including clams, mussels and lobster and an interesting variation on vichyssoise which is velvetty and chilled with lobster bits. The freshly made house special is a salad of prawns, avocado, black olives, radichhio and hearts of palm, i also tried borrachitos al gin de Menorca, a mouth watering recipe which are lettle cakes soaked in local gin served with strawberry coulis.
