There are plenty of shopping choices in Miami but I recommend Dolphin Mall. It has all the major stores plus the most enormous food hall, a rollercoaster and cinema.

Coconut Grove is a little sanctuary in the South part of the city. It houses a selection of shops, restuarants, bars. It provides a great alternative to the over priced options on South Beach. The harbour, situated at the far end is a lovely place to sit and look out over the water.

The Bayside Market is an utterly kitsch and tacky experience. Its not really my kind of thing but in Miami it seemed appropriate to spend some time there. There is a really lively feel to the place and some big restaurants to hang out at - think Hard Rock Cafe. The views out over the Bay are lovely too.
