You've got to love anything commisioned by the wonderfully named Ivan the Terrible, but I think I'd love it anyway. It was the first reason I ever wanted to visit Moscow and seeing it every day was the piece de resistance of my trip.

This place made such an impression on me, to think, people were working in labour camps here in my lifetime, it's just astonishing. Nicely juxtaposed against the high-end shops on the same road! Good irony.

An astonishing spot that seemed quite devoid of other tourists considering how much there is to see! This reserve is a UNESCO site and contains all sorts of fascinating architecture, little museums and great places to go for a stroll to work off that lunch!
