I recently visited the Marcus Garvey Museum in Kingston, Jamaica. I was delighted to learn about this hero who I previously knew nothing of. I was amazed to learn his story of how he inspired a country. The museum itself is split into three exciting and interactive sections that chronicle the life and works of Jamaica's national hero. I highly recommend this museum and a visit to Kingston to man, woman, and child.

An updated museum that displays famous works of art from Warhol to Dali. Advante garde architecture complements the subject matter. It is centrally located and convenient to hotels and several of New York's renowned restaurants. The museum is characterized by both permanent and rotating exhibits, among the former are classics such as The Persistence of Memory and Van Gogh's Starry Night. The guides are both personable and informative and the gift shop sells everything from the standard posters and books to children's furniture and DNA earrings.
