Rock Island Bar

The Rock Island bar in the town center of Corralejo on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura in Spain offers nightly acoustic live music. They webcast these performances on the internet so people from all over the world can watch. Things get started around 7:30 each night and go until the early hours of the morning.

Aquaworld Aquarium

The Aquaworld Aquarium offers a variety local and endangered of marine life. The aquarium works to help injured animals and replace them into the wild. They offer special tours for kids and families, including a chance to touch and feed some of their sea creatures. They are only open between April 1st and October 31st every year.

Irish Village

Located in the Al Garhoud neighbor, along the banks of the Dubai River, this grouping of pubs and restaurants offer solace to the weary Western traveler. Thursdays and Fridays are the busy nights and usually offer live music in the courtyard. Ten minutes from the airport by taxi and you'll be enjoying a cold beer or fish and chips at the Irish Village.

Istanbul Modern

Istanbul Modern was opened in a refurbished warehouse in 2004 on the banks of the Sea of Marmara. They blend together the influences of both Turkish and Western modern art. Displays of sculpture, abstract paintings, portraits, and photographs come from both public and private collections. The museum is operated by private funding by he museum is privately funded by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, but does offer free admission on Thursdays.

Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Ibiza

The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Ibiza offers a variety of art exhibitions year round in the heart of old town Ibiza. The historic building containing the museum is actually a part of the original city walls. They own and display works by Barry Flanagan, Hans Hinterreiter, Erwin Broner and Will Faber. Entry fee is 200 pesetas.
