Wonderful square with loads of attractions round it, and most of the cultural offerings are available around here so it's the place to stay near if you want to experience the finer things on holiday to Geneva.

Rousseau Island Bird Sanctuary

A lovely little romantic island which is a bird sanctuary (and it has a restaurant) in the middle of the river. Great views and lovely and peaceful here.

The oldest public square in Geneva is the heart of the old town, a lovely area of the city it has pretty cobbled streets and plenty of little alleys to explore, and more than its fair share of cafes so you can sit and relax.

Zappeion Gardens

Great friendly park, a fun place to hang out and meet some of the locals away from the main sights.

Kessariani Monastery

Only a short trip outside Athens is this wonderful and famous monastery. It's a lovely peaceful spot in the mountains and there are some pretty artworks as well as some great architecture to see here.
