Not too far from Dalaman this is a really pretty area with a beach and a forest so it's easy to find shelter from the strong Turkish sun, important for an easily-burnt frazzle like me!

Dalyan Mud Bath

What a treat! Amazing experience and I felt so soft afterwards I couldn't believe it! And you can't beat that sulphur smell...

Great name and a great park. I thought the Dr. Von Dark's Tunnel of Darkness was the best ride i've ever been on.

Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area

It's hard to believe you're in LA when you get lost on the hiking trails here! Really lovely place to go for an unusual day trip and you can let the kids off the leash to run off their energy too.

Franklin Canyon Park

Beautiful park where you can find a surprising amount of peace and quiet really close to the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. We had a lovely day out here.
