Portola Trail

posted by ygottwine on 14 September 2011 at 12:02

I love city breaks but also hiking so I like to try and combine the two. I loved this 5 mile walk around the Elysian Park. We printed off directions from the internet here. Enjoy!

What an amazing garden. My daughter and I spent all day here enjoying the plants and the different parts of the gardens. The people who work there are so friendly and knowledgeable too it's wonderful there.

Cabot's Pueblo Museum

We were driving to LA from Palm Springs and stopped by this Pueblo. It's an extraordinary building made from all sorts of object found in the desert or anywhere I guess! It's a fabulous place and the tour is great.

I've never been so extraordinay in my life! This is a vast desert preserve dotted with lush areas teeming with palm trees and life thanks to the life giving water from the San Andreas fault. Wonderful and memorable day out.

Crocodile Park

posted by bmosser on 8 September 2011 at 11:11

My two boys are obsessed with everything crocodile related so it's amazing we only went here twice whilst on holiday in Spain! The highlight was them holding the baby crocs and even I had to admit they are a little bit cute. Big Daddy is anything other than cute though!!
