Stunning outside and practically mind-blowing from the inside, the amount of gold, mosaics, and work that must have gone into creating it just boggles the brain! By far and away the highlight of my Venice trip.

My husband and I hired a car for the day and made the trip to Delft to see the historic musem there. We also joined in a painting workshop which was such fun. What beautiful pottery!

Amsterdam is seemingly full of tiny buildings with big secrets. Last time we saw Anne Frank House which was perhaps the most elaborate of all, and this time, this pretty amazing church hidden in the attic! So interesting!

Undoubtedly the highlight of my holiday to Amsterdam. So many paintings I couldn't quite believe he was so prolific! Great to see the context of his work amongst his contemporaries, and how he influenced the styles of the era, and was influenced too.

Totally fascinating little place documenting the growth of the city from medieval riverside settlement to modern city. Great place, and you also get to go to the Civic Guards Gallery included in the price.
