For all the attention-grabbing bit of Rome, this simple square was my favourite place to just go and hang out with a gelato. You can take a little stroll in the Borghese gardens, or just sit by the obelisk and watch the world go by.

Dating back to 217AD, these baths and the bath complex are astonishing! The engineering that went into them is mind-blowing, I can't believe they were so ahead of their time. Just been watching Rome wasn't built in a day and the manpower they must have had is HUGE!

What a room! The vatican museums are great all round but the sistene chapel is most definitely the highlight, the ceiling, the last judgment, I really could have sat for hours and hours just finding new things, it's quite busy though.

Totally iconic and absolutley amazing, the size, the atmosphere, I can't imagine how terrifying it would have been to fight in that arena with all the crowd looking down on you! The best roman place i've ever been to!

Sooooo romantic. I know it's not Venice but it's pretty darn realistic, AND i got proposed to AND a song from the gondolier, it's the stuff of dreams.
