Best known for its giant buddha statue, the monastery itself is also worth a look, and not just for the fantastic scenery that surrounds it. Delicious lunch is followed by a walk along the Wisdom Path to the Heart Sutra.

Last time I went to Goa it was too hectic and party-centric for me, so I decided to head to the quieter Benaulim this time and I was not disapointed. The focus here is on a healthy lifestyle, great food and relaxing to the max.

Great market, I was travelling for 6 months and some of my things were on their last legs when I found the market so it was such a treat to get some nice new bits and pieces, and a great souvenir for the trip too.

Stunning, and the baroque style is so different to anything else I saw in Goa. Really beautiful church and definitely something you should try to see if you're travelling in the region.
