My boyfriend and I decided to just pop in and see the stunning interior of the building, particularly the world's largest tiffany stained glass dome, which was amazing...but then we started to look at all the events and found ourselves watching 'The Gift Of Laughter', voice actors reading classic scripts, which was great!!

There's so much more to see here than you can manage in a day, so i'd advise either going to the original wing, or the modern wing. I went to the modern wing, an amazing building, a fabulous sculpture terrace and a great collection of modern works. Nearby Milennium Park beckons for some natural relaxation after the artistic contemplation.

The unexpected highlight of my friends' and my trip to Tokyo was the Harajuku girls, dressed up to the nines like 'victorian dolls'. We looked for them everywhere and they really lit up our day when we saw them. Best places were by the Meiji Shrine and in Yoyogi Park.

Whenever we go on holiday my girlfriend and I always end up gravitating towards the parks for some space and reflection. This park is small but peaceful, and as an added bonus has the Studio Ghibli Museum in it, lovely to see all the displays there.

Travelling around Asia climbing Mount Fuji was one of my must-do things. However, when I got to Fuji Yoshida, the nnearest town to the volcano I was told you can only reach the top in the summer. I did have a short walk up the easiest path but the snow was quite bad. I still fell in love though, beautiful place and lovely people.

Out to the west of the city, you can get there easily on the bus from JR shinduku station with a change of bus at Kawagutiko
