This was our favourite area of Mumbai, the views are spectacular, the kamala nehru park and the hanging gardens especially offer great views as well as other diversions, and the streets are just great for a stroll, you don't quite know what you might find which is what holidays are all about.

I loved this tower, apparently inspired by both Giotto's bell tower in Florence, which is one of my favourite cities ever, and big ben in London. I was shown it on a tour visiting friends in Mumbai and I was immediately taken with it. Looking closer offers yet more rewards with 8 statues revealing themselves as the different castes, so important in indian culture.

Beautiful gallery, I love indian art work and the collection here is great, if a little quirky at times, as with all contemporary art galleries! My favourite was the exhibition of aditi's work, called let it be a heaven of blackened roses.

A slightly mad place, with a bizarre mix of semi-precious stones, roller coasters and a small farm, I actually had a completely enjoyable day here. My mum and dad went gaga for the stones, which were actually very pretty but the highlight for me was panning for crystals! And petting llamas!!

Stunning scenery, beautiful place to go. My wife and I took a trip here for a day's walking and relaxing and it was the highlight of our holiday in Auckland. The replica lighthouse was proving a big attraction for some but we preferred to stick to nature and enjoy the area around manakua head way from the people.
