My teens and I visited this whilst my wife was on her conference we'd tagged along for, and although we thoroughly enjoyed it the general consensus was that it's not haunted, just a little eccentric, like a good old English fellow. I would have loved to see it in its finery before the earthquakes.

Visiting uni friends in SF, this was the highlight of my trip, we had such an awesomely fun day out. I love all the thrill rides and the best were the honolulu halfpipe and the cliffhanger. Well worth going out to from the usual areas.

The kids and I adore jelly belly jelly beans and we were in our element at the factory and visitors centre. We have come home with so many sweets, particularly the unusual ones and plenty of my favourite, the cinnamon ones.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our trip here so much. It's a pretty surreal place but the tour was excellent and the stories were great! We were also told that the views to the bridge are amazing on a clear day but we had no such luck and had to make do with a grey outline! Be sure to book in advance, we did it when we booked our holiday.

If you want to take home a real bit of Berlin but can't quite stretch to a bit of wall then this design showroom is great. Loads of old-skool designs as well as innovative products to remind you of your holiday. Top buys are in the hip-hop design field, as well as eastern-bloc style sneakers.
