Praia do Pinhao

posted by ywegley on 10 December 2010 at 11:28

A delightful secluded small cove, my boyfriend and I loved it here, just the right vibe for a chilled out holiday away from the stresses and cold weather in the UK. Just make sure you save some energy for the long walk up the steps at the end of the day!

Grotto Tour

posted by jelder on 10 December 2010 at 11:27

Speaking to a couple in our hotel, they recommended a grotto tour and I'm glad they did! Sailing around all the rock formations and spotting little beaches and interesting things was such fun, and the caves are amazing too. Just great.

We hired a small fishing boat, fisherman guide included, from the ponte de piedad

Selwo Park

The highlight of my kids' trip to Marbella in the summer wasn't the beaches, or the sun, it was this park where the animals roam free as in the wild and you take a 4x4 tour or a walking tour to try and spot them. Take plenty of suncream and water!

Off the N340 between San Pedro de Alcantara and Estepona, a bit of a drive but totally worth it

Markets

posted by xdrabble on 10 December 2010 at 11:06

I hate shopping in big commercial places so I like to look out for markets on holiday to see if i can pick up anything quirky or cool, and there are several good ones here. Recinto Ferial on monday and Puerto Banus on Saturday were the best I found.

Cabopino Beach

posted by fswartzbaugh on 10 December 2010 at 11:05

My mates and I came away for a cheap girly holiday and this was our favourit beach, it's beautiful and chilled out and it was pretty quiet, especially compared with the other beaches we visited.

where, when, how, web
To the east of Marbella toen, we walked there a couple of time but it's a bit of a trek with stuff so bus/driving/taxi is probably better.
