A top tip of a french friend of mine was to give the Louvre a miss if you're pushed for time and head to the Petit Palais instead, so I did, and was very pleased. Amazing exterior and interior and the museum of fine arts has more than enough great stuff for you to feel satisfied.

I happened upon this church when I was heading back to the river from the Jardin du Luxembourg and I was immediately taken with it. Gorgeous towers invite you to investigate further, and inside i don't think i've ever been in a church so full of natural light. Stunning murals and a gorgeous huge organ complete the main joys of this church!

We discovered this church when we were browsing the fine food shops that surround the church (€199/100gr cherries anyone?!). The outside is a bit grubby but the interior is just stunning, the tree domes are so lovely, I can see why the most fashionable of Paris want to get married here.

I couldn't believe how empty this was after fighting through the top rooms of the Louvre the day before. The grandeur of the architecture is worth the admission alone, although the gold dome from the outside is perhaps still my favourite part, especially at night. Napoleon's grave and the church were other highlights.

I adore this church, and could just look at it all day for an obliging nearby cafe! Sometimes I go in and am always surprised with the peace and beauty of the interior but it's the white and blue outside that really captivates my attention.
