Santa Justa Elevator

The funiculars are cool but this is a whole nother level, really fun and exciting, especially if you take the spiral staircase from the top of the lift to the terrace, for amazing views you didn't have to do hardly any work for! Amazing that this was built in 1902 as was originally poered by steam!

Museu Nacional do Azuelo

Set in an old convent, itself beautiful, my mother an I adored this tile museum. The designs and colours are stunning, I just wish there was an excuse to tile my house with them as in some of the examples I then spotted around the city. Beautiful and practical, they keep the house cool in the summer and help heat loss in winter, much more attractive than our lagging!

Wannado City

OMG my kids loved it here! It's a theme park/town where you get to play all the roles of like firefighter, news reporter, doctor, chef etc etc. Such fun, it was amazing to see them all so happy! Great day out, we just chilled out all day!

Holocaust Memorial

A powerful and haunting memorial to the Jews who perished under the Nazis during WWII. Might bring your day down though if you're not expecting it.

Art Deco Museum Walking Tour

I'd highly recommend the art deco walking tour, loads of great architecture to see, as well as other interesting places that it takes you past. Getting to know a city on foot is the best way to feel that i've done things properly in my opinion!
