My boyfriend and I stayed here more-or-less on a whim and we loved it. The beach was quiet, the sea lovely and the whole vibe of the place was really peaceful and secluded. The Minoan palace ruins were a bonus really, a great place to walk to for a change from the sunbathing routine.

Beware, once you take your children here they will a)never want to leave and b) bug you to return. But i can see where they are coming from, i really liked it too, especially martin luther king jr waterfall, although zeum was the top hit for the boys. so much to explore!

one of the world's top shopping area and it really feels like it! a great buzz and plenty to do, you could shop all week and still feel like you could do more. look out also for the half price ticket booths for the shows, we were after getting tickets but ended up spending all out money shopping.

Sometimes when you're on holiday you get the feeling of eating bad things too much, never being able to find a good place at the right time etc, well look no more! the market in here not only looks stunning but is jam-packed full of delicious food both to eat there and to takeaway and prepare at your leisure. a real gem.

Having not been smart and pre-booked alcatraz we decided to head here instead. It was a real surprise how lovely it was, great views, lots of space for the kids to let loose and run free, it was fun just to explore all the winding paths. Take lunch!
