Faunia

I wasn't sure what to expect from a "biodiversity theme park" but it was just great, and everyone young and old enjoyed themseleves which is always good. You can visit 8 different ecosystems which is really educational, the tropical bit was THE BEST THING EVER. watch out for the ones they let roam free!!

where, when, how, web
Avenida de las Comunidades, 28, out to the southwest it's easiest to hire a car but beware the roads are confusing!

Palacio Real

Wow. This is one grand building. As soon as you see it you can't help but be amazed by the size of it, and then when you tour the rooms the luxury is so apparent it really makes you think wow these people are rich. Amazing to see how the other half live, i think i enjoyed it even more than the napoleonic apartments at the louvre!

We went here one day for a change of scene and really enjoyed it, although the beach is a bit stony. i loved lying on the pontoon and watching the fish go by, the water is so clear that you don't even need a snorkel to enjoy all the underwater delights

Makadi Bay Day Trip

posted by rreade on 19 November 2010 at 15:58

Our hotel put on a day trip to this resort on the other side of the red sea and we loved its elegance so much we stayed the night and returned with the next day's trip. lovely beaches, crystal clear water, chilled out vibe, what more could you want for your holiday?

where, when, how, web
you'll have to get a boat there, a tour or a private boat since you can't drive it
