I got back from road tripping around Crete with some friends recently and I really enjoyed all of it, but particularly the day we came across the little town of Elos holding their chestnut festival. Delicious food, great entertainment, lovely people, just the sort of experience we were hoping for!

Last time we went to crete we stayed here in self-catering accommodation and were really taken with how quiet it was, and the beach was stunning! Lovely shallow waters great for paddling with the children.

This trail isn't as well known as the samaria gorge that it runs next to but this is perfect for the whole family as you can use it to walk from Imbros to Komitades, stop for lunch and return to your car all in one day without any hassle.

A fabulous place to shop. With everything under one roof and and element of style integrated into the shopping experience. The dining options far exceed the typical trahy food court choices.

As I was backpacking through the USA this hostel was one of the better, more fun ones I stayed in. Free internet, free meals and a private bathroom are just three of the hostels great attributes!
