National Zoological Park

Certainly the best kept zoo I have ever been to. Possibly a strange choice while visiting a city with so much history and culture to see but I just fancied a break from the maddness of the city and the zoo was a great choice for some respite.

Lodi Gardens

A stunning park spread over 90 acres featuring several tombs and architectural treasures that have rendered it protected by the Archeological Survey of India. This means it is well maintained and informative and a lovely spot for a morning walk.

A lovely little museum holding temporary and permanent exhibitions from spain, nicely arranged in chronological order so you get a mix of mediums all the time. Really nice for an hour's wander of so after lunch

I've been visiting Alicante for years and this is withouth a doubt my favourite time. At the end of june the whole town gets festooned with paper and wooden figures and the town starts to party, with music, carnivals and at the end a fire and fireworks competition

Vergel Safari Park

posted by pjowers on 19 November 2010 at 13:08

The children and I got a bit bored of going to the beach every day in Alicante last summer so we went here to spot some animals and had a really fun day. Loads of things to see from the car and a great area you can see some less scary things including seals and dolphins that put on an excellent show.
