A peaceful retreat within Antalya's city centre. This park is very delightful with its ponds, sculpture, miniature waterfalls and beautiful fountains which display colourful lights in the evening.

Some of the best shopping we found was in the more historical Kaleici district. Just wondering down through the cobbled streets of the old quarters we were able to find Old Turkish kilims, original gold jewellery, leather products, natural cotton clothing, handmade wooden items as well as traditional Turkish handicrafts. Plus it was a great location for grocery shopping.

We took the family to Antalya Zoo and even I enjoyed it! The animals were evidently cared for and there was a wide range of species to look at - the bears and cheetahs were my favourites!

This iconic tower stands out as the only part of the ancient fortress that still remains. The minaret of the mosque nearby sits next to it and omits a feeling of calm.

It was a surpise to stumble across these small gardens in Venice - a city known for its waterways not land! Situated on the banks of the river, the park lies in the area of Piazza San Marco. The Royal Gardens are wonderfully maintained with alleys, pathways and benches that create an incomparable ambience.
